Now with the new Travel-i Solo/TT version, database creation and manipulation is a walk in the park.

• Download POI files from the Web and use the converter to translate .ov2 files to .gns.

• Edit, Add or Delete records in your database to have totally customised POI files.

• Automatically remove duplicated records, or choose to select which record to delete.

• Merge newly downloaded versions with your customised files to keep records up to date.

• Merge POI files together, choose which files you want to provide combinations of data.

Adapt your own set of databases, for nationwide camera locations or more personal points of interest. Download from your favourite website and convert with the Gns Converter facility, then edit or add to the file as you please to make your own custom .gns files. You can sort your files in the order that suits your requirements, in any of the fields. If the file you get from the web has a lot of double entries the program will quickly delete them, a minimum distance can be chosen and you can choose to select which record to delete if you want more control. When you download an updated file Travel-i Solo/TT's merge facility lets you marry the new data into your existing file. You may want a Safety Camera file as your basis but select any others you need  to add to it, say Hotel and Petrol Stations for regular trips, or Parks and zoos for a weekend out with the family. Whatever you use your POI files for, you can create them to suit your needs, true customisation at your finger tips.

Business Travel  Recorder

To record your business travel you press the journey start button.  From its database of UK towns and your customised files,Travel-i Solo/TT locates the closest location to where you are, stores it along with the date and time and sets the internal odometer to zero. It then asks you for journey details, which are chosen from a pre-defined list.

At the end of your journey you press the journey end button.  Travel-i Solo/TT will look up the closest location and will store it together with the date, time and distance travelled.

It is a common fact that the GPS recorded mileage will often be more accurate than the odometer on the vehicle.  A calibrate function is therefore provided to synchronise the Travel-i Solo/TT's odometer with that of the vehicle.

If you are not happy with the location that Travel-i Solo/TT  has chosen for the start or end of your journey, you can add your own to the database.
